Battle of Belmont. Nov. 23D 1899. Boer-British War., copyrighted 1900 by Kurz & Allison, an American lithographic firm. As the subtitle - which I don't imagine you'll be able to read unless you hit the download button to the right - explains, this shows a battle in the Boer War in which we had "Gen. Methuen commanding the British. Gen. Cronje commanding the Boers. Heavy loss on both sides. Boers routed."
Restoration notesGood lord, this took ages. There were many rips, some small missing areas, and severe vignetting. Besides the normal removing of dirt and dust, all these had to be corrected, involving reconstruction work and careful levels adjustments.
